Join Kate on an adventure at the Maroochy Botanic Gardens!

Challenge yourself with reading instructions and observation skills - Where is it? What is it? This will be so much fun!

Suitable for everyone - compass skills or running ability not required. Just a sense of fun and adventure.

We will work in small teams to follow directions and decipher clues to get you to the ultimate reward - a shared morning tea! It is important that at least one person in the team has a camera (phone is ok) and a device to measure distance (watch or phone apps are fine).

Please note - there will be some dirt tracks and also exposed roots, so hiking footwear (trail runners would be good) required. There will be a number of the Botanic Garden walking tracks covered so be prepared to cover a few easy kilometres over approximately 2 hours.

We will share morning tea in one of the shelters. Please bring $2 to subsidise catering.

Perhaps take the opportunity to then go and explore one of the extended tracks in the Garden.

What to bring:
  • Hiking shoes/boots/trail runners
  • Appropriate clothing to suit conditions
  • Sufficient water (minimum 2L)
  • First aid kit
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Insect repellent
  • Hot water in a thermos and a cup for a cup of tea.
  • Pen
  • Clipboard (optional but handy)
  • Camera (phone is ok - not everyone needs, just one person in the team so dont stress if you have neither a phone or camera!)
  • $2 contribution towards morning tea.
