Harry's Hut to Fig Tree Point Day Use Area - reccie

DAY WALKERS WELCOME TO JOIN THE CAMPERS

NB: Access road to Harry's Hut will need a 4wd/suv or high clearance depending on the conditions at the time.

Please come with a sense of adventure - there will not be a chance to do a reccie prior so there could be unexpected obstacles.

4 hour hike 6.6km one way 13.2km return

May be an opportunity to swim

The Day Use area has log seats, grassy areas and non-flush toilets.

There is a 400m Melaleuca circuit boardwalk at Fig Tree Point where we will amble through wetlands into scribbly gum, bloodwood and blue gum forest that fringes the low-lying delta of the Upper Noosa River and listen to the rich birdsong, then through eucalypt forests and bak into paperbark wetlands to the day use area before heading back to Harrys Hut.

NB - Grading is a guess because I havent done a reccie!
