This walk is open to prospective members who have previous walk experience and are OK with some off track hiking.

This walk does not go up Mt Beerwah, but instead around it’s base. It makes use of degraded vehicle tracks for much of the circuit. These are steep and washed out in places, so care is needed. Towards the end of this 8km short walk we will go of track using a creek bed to join a footpad taking us back to the cars. See this mountain from angles you may not have before. We will stop for morning tea during the walk and finish before lunch, which could be enjoyed in the park at the end.

You may wish to wear long pants or gaiters for the off track section.
