Meet at the car park at the Parklakes Sports Complex off Yandina Bli Bli Road. This is a short (about 4km), mostly shadey walk on formed tracks which will be led by Rodney Kerr who is a keen local birdwatcher and runs many bird walks for community groups. Bring binoculars if you have them, but not essential. Beginners or experienced birders welcome.  We will walk to and around the nearby lakes stopping at a bird hide. Hopefully we will see a range of water and forest birds. The walk will end back at the car park with the opportunity to go for a coffee afterwards at 'the Local' Cafe on the corner of Kingfisher Drive and Parklakes Drive.

What to bring:
  • Binoculars if you have them
  • Walking shoes
  • Appropriate clothing to suit conditions
  • Sufficient water
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Insect repellent
